In case you were wondering...
Green Curve store was founded by me, Renuka. Lover of textiles and mother of Leo, our three year old unofficial product tester and our newest team member, three month old Lana.
During lockdown, I realised I wanted to turn my children’s clothing brand into something more sustainable. Baby items are so often thrown away and I wanted to create something that could be used for longer than six months.
Leo sleeps with a muslin every single night and Lana is swaddled in one, and so the idea to specialise in made-to-order organic cotton and bamboo blankets seemed a perfect fit.
Now, I create soft swaddles and comfy quilts that are kind to the planet and loved by kids. Made by mothers, for mothers and are always designed with the environment in mind.
Unique textiles created ethically for you and your baby
How we work
Our fabrics are handwoven in small batches and sewn by a small collective of women in Kerala. They are then handprinted by me, at my home in Surrey. Our new quilts have been made in India using deadstock hand block printed fabric that we have saved from landfill.
Why
Each piece tells a story which interweaves its female makers. We work with transparent trade partners to ensure ethical practices and fair wages.
Fabrics for life
Lovingly handprinted textiles for your little ones to keep beyond the early years. So they tell their own story without leaving a trace on the Earth.
Your blanket will be made to order, just for you, so please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. However, if there's something you've got your eye on and you need it sooner, just ask and I will do my best to make it happen.
