A fantastic 10 year old Port from the heart and soul of Quinta do Portal, paired with a hand ladled potted stilton.
The Horton Port and Stilton Box, featuring Quinta do Portal Port. This 10 year old tawny port is from a family winery in the heart of Quinta do Portal. This delicious drink has a pale gold colour from its long exposure in oak casks where it has developed fantastic fragrance, character and length of flavour. Rich, with figs to the fore, the palate goes on and on with layers of dried fruit flavours and a wonderful, refreshing, finish.
Accordingly, we have paired with a deliciously smooth and creamy Potted Blue Stilton Cheese, hand-ladled in Nottinghamshire. This Potted Stilton is hand-ladled in Nottinghamshire to a traditional 18th century practice, when Stilton was first made. Therefore, this cheese is buttery and complex with a slightly spicy, long finish.
The Horton Port and Stilton Box is a lovely gift choice at Christmas or any other special occasion.
