Join Hiver at the idyllic Greyfriars Winery in the Surrey Hills, for the VI-Bee treatment!
Your experience starts with an introduction to all things bees and beekeeping before getting hands on with our hives. Don a beekeeping suit and head over to the hives for a hive inspection - the hives are buzzing with activity and you get a chance to peek inside! Have a go at handling the frames, and finding the Queen Bee herself. Then you'll relax over a tutored beer and food matching session hosted by one of our experts.
Next up you'll enjoy a lunch featuring a range of local cheese and charcuterie - a delicious showcase of local Surrey produce provides a satisfying break before we move on to the Greyfriars Winery Tour and tasting.
After lunch, you'll embark on a leisurely guided tour of the stunning Greyfriars Winery. You’ll be led through picturesque vineyards before concluding with a tutored tasting of Greyfriars sparkling and still wines. You’ll also come away with your own Greyfriars branded tasting glass!

Greyfriars Vineyard is known for producing world-class, award winning English sparkling wines. Nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills since 1989, Greyfriars Vineyard boasts a rich history of winemaking and is a testament to the dedication of its team in producing exceptional wines while respecting the environment and local ecosystems. With self guided tours, as well as 5 star reviewed tutored wine tastings, there is so much to see and do in this stunning setting. Charcuterie boards make the perfect picnic, and can be enjoyed in their state of the art tasting room or overlooking the vineyard from the outside bar. This family run vineyard is the perfect foodie day out.

Hiver uses only British suppliers and ingredients and the honeys that we will taste are raw British honeys from independent beekeepers.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Hiver experience is available on selected Saturdays until the middle of September and the sessions can be booked by following the information on your e-voucher via our booking portal or over the telephone. Choose a date and session that suits you or if you'd like to book something bespoke, we'd be happy to organise a custom tour based on the availability of our Beekeeper.
All vouchers are valid for 9 months from the date of purchase.
Sessions are in groups of up to twelve people for the beekeeping and beer tasting and in groups of up to 30 for the wine tasting and tour. In the case of really wet weather, we'll be inspecting the exhibition hive, build brood frames and looking at bi-products of the hive instead of the Hive Inspection.
Please wear socks and covered shoes on the day and a few layers that you can take off as you get into your suits!
We're afraid that you must be over 18 to purchase and also to enjoy the Ultimate Experience. It is not suitable for anyone with a known bee allergy.
VOUCHER DELIVERY. An e-voucher will be delivered to your registered e-mail address once your order has been accepted by the seller (normally 24-48 hours after purchase). If you choose an optional voucher pack, this will be sent by post to your chosen delivery address; see the top of this page for estimated delivery dates. Your pack will contain a printed gift envelope, wallet and printed voucher and will be delivered free of charge.
