The book materials are paper and card. Many of the pages are re-used (book pages and wallpaper) or recycled (made from bought paper that has been collected and reprocessed).
This is what is in the box:
An instruction booklet, a front cover of a cloth backed map and a back cardboard cover, 10 vintage themed paper including original book pages, 20 plainer pages, 2 pegs for use as clamps, linen thread for binding, a self sticking name label and a wire coil to help collate the pages. Nothing else is required to make the journal.
The pages are collected, chosen, cut and punched by hand. The journals kits are made with love and care but their handmade nature means there may be small irregularities, and some of the reused paper may be crumpled, marked or have rough edges as a feature of the design. The contents of the kit will not be exactly the same as in the photographs as each one is unique.
The book is A5 size, H21 x W15cm, a handy size to carry with you and fit into your bag.
The box the journal comes in is decorated and has a gift tag, it is protected in a plastic envelope and fits through a letter box aperture.
