ABOUT I'M SEW JAMAICAN

Handmade fabric accessories.

Lilly Bee was the girl who couldn't afford expensive high-street accessories so learned to make her own. She is the Designer behind the London based brand I'm Sew Jamaican who has a quirky and eclectic aesthetic.

Each of her parents were born in Clarendon and St. Elizabeth Jamaica in the 1950's and it's important to Lilly that you know the heritage of the person making your accessory which is why she chose the brand name and celebrates her Jamaican heritage through her fabric choices that are bold and colourful to represent her Caribbean culture.

Her eco-friendly cotton range includes space-saving home storage for the Bathroom such as Toilet Roll Holders and reusable shopping Tote Bags with matching Zipper Pouches. Hair accessories were a popular later addition to the collection with comfy Scrunchies and matching stretch Headbands that don't feel too tight when worn. The handmade Drawstring Gift Bags are a thoughtful way to give presents to friends and loved ones.

Handmade Accessories

Lilly makes each accessory by hand and designs everything herself from pattern making, fabric cutting and doing all the sewing in her home studio.

New items are regularly added to her shop to keep styles fresh which means a limited number of accessories are made, in each style, so that new fabric options can be offered to you. This prevents unnecessary wastage and helps the brands contribution towards sustainability. Every item is made to be used regularly so don't be afraid to pop your new purchase into your washing machine when needed.

Lilly wears and uses every piece herself to check the quality which is why it was important for her to gain industry recognised qualifications in sewing & fashion. If it isn’t good enough for her to wear or use then it isn’t good enough for you or the person you're buying for.

I'm Sew Jamaican can be found doing local pop-ups and markets in London where you can meet the Designer & request a custom one-of-a-kind accessory be made.
