Handmade Jewellery

Jana Reinhardt Jewellery started life back in 2006. We are a husband and wife team with 50 years of experience in jewellery making between us (We both started our apprenticeship / degree in 1996). So we both have invested huge amounts of time and effort in training and gaining experience, so you can be certain any piece you buy from us has been handcrafted by an expert – the kind of jewellery that becomes a precious keepsake, handed down the generations for years to come.

Our jewellery is influenced by the natural world and the animal kingdom. Sustainability is very important to us. All precious metals used by us are from accredited suppliers, based in the UK, that continually buy back and recycle scrap metal. So our pieces are made from 100% recycled sterling silver and gold.

Every piece of our jewellery is handmade to order, by either Ross or I, at our seaside studio in West Sussex. Our jewellery boxes are made from 100% recyclable card with cotton pouches. We offer free gift wrapping for which we use bamboo ribbon.

How it's made

Handmade by master goldsmiths in Sussex

We’re in the driving seat for every step of the journey. I design all our products. The process starts with some research and sketches of the piece I’m going to create. I then carve the design in wax, a very painstaking process that requires a lot of time and concentration – I really enjoy this bit. Once that’s finished, the wax carving is cast into metal and turned into a master, which we use to cast all our orders from.

Ross specialises in gem stone setting and engraving, so he’s the one adding in all those special touches and extra options. We offer these personalised choices for most of our pieces, to make them that little bit more unique and one-of-a-kind for each customer.

Finally, everything is hand polished, so that it reaches you in absolutely pristine, super shiny condition. It can be a bit time consuming and you wouldn’t believe the mess it makes, but we think it’s extremely important to give every item that brand new finish.

Delivery

All of our UK deliveries are sent with Royal Mail. International orders are sent via Royal Mail International or DHL.

All deliveries will require a signature on receipt. If you are in a hurry, we also offer an express delivery service for an additional fee.
