Jayne Tapp Design was launched in November 2016 but the idea had been brewing much longer than that.

When I was 19 I became seriously ill and had to move back to my family home in Liverpool so I could be cared for. This really changed my perspective on life and it made me realise what's really important - and to me that's the people in my life and the memories I make with them.

I decided that when I was well enough, I wanted to start a business creating products to help us celebrate those things, and much more than that - products that will be kept for as long as those memories.

Fast forward 3 years and in November 2016, I launched Jayne Tapp Design with the support of The Prince's Trust.

The core of my product range are my wooden keepsake cards.

Since I was a little girl I've always kept all of my greetings cards. This has resulted in boxes of them stuffed under my bed and in my wardrobe getting crumpled.

I wanted to create an alternative to a paper greeting card, that would be treasured forever and never end up under the bed or in the bin! So I created my wooden keepsake cards – all of which can be completely personalised.

I adore making every one of my products and it means so much to get to play a small part in helping others cherish the people and memories in their lives.
