Hi, I'm Laura!

I’m a designer, illustrator & printmaker based in South Aberdeenshire, where I live with my husband and my 11-year-old son. My biggest fans and keenest helpers. I couldn't do any of it without them. They are ace!

I graduated in graphic design 22 years ago, and seven years ago I started up Juniper Press when a lino printing hobby turned into a fully-fledged business. My work is mainly digital design now, but I still dabble and teach lino printing workshops in my local area. In 2020 I launched the wholesale side of the business and I now have stockists up and down the country.

My work takes inspiration from the intricacies and detail of Scandinavian and Eastern European folk art, using nature and plants as my subject matter to tell stories, share positive messages and celebrate the great outdoors.

My love for my homeland, Scotland, shines through a lot in my designs. If you like wild swimming, hiking, and getting outside, you've come to the right shop! When I'm not working you can find me on a windswept hill or on one of our incredible white sandy beaches.
