A Bee Cell and Seedbom gift set including a small concrete Bee Cell and 1 x Pollinator Beebom Seedbom.
GIVE SOLITARY BEES A HOME
The Bee Cell is a single cell nesting site designed for solitary bees. Inspired by the guerilla gardening movement, the Bee Cell bee house makes a great gift for the garden lover in your life and is a super-easy way to create additional space for cavity-nesting solitary bee species. The wrap contains lots of info to help spread awareness about our brilliant bees.
PositioningThe Bee Cell™ should be positioned in a warm sunny spot, south-facing, with no vegetation in front of the fascia. Ideally placed at least 1/2 metre from the ground with no upward limit.
More infoBee Cell™ is solid at the back and has a single cavity where solitary bees, such as red mason and leafcutter bees, will lay their eggs, sealing the entrance with mud or chewed up vegetation. Offspring emerge in the Spring and begin the process of nesting again, repeating the cycle.
THE SEEDBOMS:
A positively buzzing mix of wildflower seeds that will grow into bright and beautiful nectar rich flowers loved by bumblebees and honey bees.
The Pollinator Beebom Seedboms couldn’t be easier to use. The starch-based compostable shell is filled with organic compost and seeds. All you need to do is find an area of unloved space – then shake it, soak it, throw it and grow it.
With a combination of wildflower seeds chosen from the RHS ‘perfect for pollinators’ list, your garden will be abuzz with pollinating bees in no time! You don’t need any experience to grow these stunning flowers, so the Pollinator Beebom Seedbom makes the perfect gift for gardeners as well as beginners.
Seed mix – Cornflower, Vipers Bugloss, Wild Marjoram, Red Clover, Borage & Phacelia.
We’re supporting REWILDING BRITAIN. 10% of the sales profits from this product are donated to rewilding projects throughout Britain.
If you don’t have a lot of space, you can even grow these wildflowers in pots. We recommend you choose one that’s at least 30 cm wide to give them enough space to thrive.
For best results, plant your Seedbom between March and June. If you want to get a head start on next year, plant them between August and October and wait to watch them bloom the following summer.
Spread: We recommend allowing approx 15cm all around the Seedbom for spreading.
Shelf life: For best results we recommend Seedboms are grown within 1 year of purchase.
Storage: Keep cool & dry
