Welcome to Karin Åkesson Design, the online shop of swedish born illustrator Karin Åkesson.

"Lots of my work is inspired by nature and animals. I grew up in Sweden and spent a lot of my childhood climbing rocks and playing in the forest which always reminds me of my Scandinavian roots. Rainbows are a recurring theme in my work and I love pops of bright colours and the magic and beauty of rainbows. My designs are dedicated to my own children aswell as everyone elses, I want to make products to inspire and empower them as well as look great in your home."

Karin Åkesson Design was established in 2009 and is run by Karin and her husband David from their studio in East London. The children’s collection is filled with motivational messages and quirky ink drawings inspired by their own two young children. All products are designed by Karin and made and printed in the UK. Many of the products can be personalised by adding names and messages to make them even more special.
