About

Kate Holdsworth is a jewellery designer maker.

Her jewellery collections are all inspired by knitting, whether it is knitting with yarn and fusing this with glass, or taking the inspiration from knitted patterns and textures and translating this into silver. Kate has several collections that are linked by the knitting theme but each have a different feel and look.

The first is 'Silver Stitches.' This captures the textural qualities of the patterns and textures of knit using purely silver in a variety of shapes and form.The second is 'Looking into Infinity' which combines knitted textiles and glass within handmade silver components.

Kate has always been fascinated with the tactile textural qualities of knit. While studying at Bucks New University she became intrigued with the contrasting textures that could be achieved by juxtaposing knit with other materials. She went on to develop her love of contrasting materials on her MA at Nottingham Trent University where she produced an innovative process of fusing knit and glass together to create a unique composite textile. This lead Kate to a year placement on the Design Space Programme developing new jewellery products. She is based in her workshop in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

Delivery

All items of jewellery over £60 are delivered free of charge within the UK via Royal Mail Special Delivery. This is a guaranteed next day service, which should arrive by 1pm on your estimated date of delivery. A signature will be required to confirm delivery. Silver items under £60 will be sent via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. This service also requires a signature upon arrival.

The Dot Collection will be sent 1st class Royal Mail Delivery, unless the value of the order exceeds £60. Please be aware that 1st class can take up to 5 working days to be delivered so if you require the order urgently please pay for next day delivery service.

Most Non-Mainland UK and International deliveries are usually despatched within 2-3 working days or sooner where indicated. Please see the delivery times and prices listed on each product page for further details. Where applicable, parcels will be sent via a secure and tracked service that will need a signature to confirm delivery.

Made to Order items can take up to 10 days . But if you need it sooner then message Kate and she can see what she can do.

All items are posted with care instructions and come beautifully packaged in black boxes with grey or black ribbon.
