Kintsugi is a traditional, 400 year old Japanese technique for repairing broken ceramics with gold. Our modern method embodies all the beauty of this fascinating medium whilst making it affordable for everyone. We use genuine kintsugi techniques to repair ceramics - the joinery is not simply painted on. All our products are created from vintage or pre-loved ceramics and may have a few scratches, blemishes and marks which have appeared over the course of their history. This is why we love them - as we hope you will. More than just an art form, kintsugi philosophy teaches us to embrace our flaws and imperfections and to celebrate our differences.
“ To become beautiful it had to break.” Aura Trevortini
