This unusual pendant is one of a new collection fashioned from recycled ceramics, carefully sanded and repaired by hand using kintsugi. Traditionally, this 400 year old Japanese technique uses 'golden joinery' - we have created a collection of pieces using silver coloured mica for those who prefer silver to gold.
Our modern method embodies all the beauty of this fascinating medium whilst making it affordable for everyone. We use genuine kintsugi techniques to repair ceramics - the joinery is not simply painted on.
All our products are vintage or pre-loved and may have a few scratches, blemishes and marks which have appeared over the course of their history. This is why we love them - as we hope you will.
Kintsugi philosophy teaches us to embrace our flaws and imperfections and to celebrate our differences.
