To us, the modern furniture brand is about making sustainable choices every day, to create items that will be around for generations to come, without costing the earth. We create beautiful pieces of timeless fine furniture from our small workshop in central London - everything is made to order and crafted with the utmost care.

Knot Design is owned and run by Will James. Will has many years of experience in designing and crafting unique pieces of bespoke hardwood furniture for discerning clients in London and around the UK, having trained at a prestigious fine furniture school in the Lake District.

The pieces being offered on Not on the Hight Street represent the most successful designs that have been been distilled to offer them at a more affordable price point. Everything is handcrafted to the highest standards that clients have come to expect and demand.

What we stand for

At Knot, how we make our furniture is as important as the pieces themselves

We make our pieces from locally sourced native British timbers. Britain imports the vast majority of its timber so we're trying to play our small part in redressing that imbalance.

Our workshop is powered by renewable energy and, where practical, deliveries will be made by the Knot Design team themselves in an electric vehicle.

We only use environmentally friendly, low VOC finishes which are also child-safe. We replant trees for every piece of furniture well sell through the charity Trees for Cities.

Delivery

All items are made to order and should be ready for delivery within 6-8 weeks.

Wherever possible deliveries will be made directly by the Knot Design team. Where this is not possible or practical, a white glove courier service will be used in order to minimise any wasteful packaging.
