With its six multicultural rhyming books, Happy Lane reading, writing & colourings series is the perfect children’s gift for someone special in your life.
Today’s ethnic diversity means that it is important for children to read books that portray a true reflection of our society, a world filled with individuality in the shape of sizes, beliefs and shades. The inclusive Happy Lane series takes place in a land inhabited by six children from all over the world where their homes and landscape are made out of food and natural materials.
The use of rhyme in the story will appeal to even the youngest readers, whilst the gorgeously rich drawings mean children can discover new detail each time they read the book. Colour and humour, added to the emotions conveyed within each illustration, together generate a sense of wellbeing, reinforcing the reader's warm feelings towards the characters’ honesty and compassion.
Using fun rhyming stories, each book introduces 2 to 5 years old kids to topical concepts such as tolerance and kindness towards others as well as respect of the environment and the importance of recycling.
Series of 4 reading books for 2 to 5 years old childrens.
Hand written, personalised author book dedication available on request.
Independent reviews:
I chanced upon this book while looking for a bedtime read for my 3 and 4 year olds. The words made it – reminding me of Julia Donaldson – they have an easy rhythm. The plot is charming and wholemeal – a journey with a rainbow of faces, races and places. The graphic are well chosen – simply shaped with none-too bright colours, and with the emphasis on the expressions and emotions. It’s lovely read. And there is a sequel for the moment for kids demand “more!”.
My 4 and 5 year olds always want to read Marsha’s books at bedtime every day! Each book has a new tale to tell and the kids luv the individual adventures of the characters!
I LOVE it! I enjoyed reading to my kids who were so attracted to the story and the pictures. We all liked the map and my kids tried to figure out where Mai come from by looking at the map they have in their room :) A very mice book and I highly recommend it.
My kids loved this delightful rhyming story about sharing and friendship. The vibrant pictures will encourage us to start baking again!
