Illustrated art prints which are fun and characterful, perfect to cheer up any wall you choose.
A love of illustration and design led me to create playful illustrations of absolutely anything! Over the years I have been building up a large collection of drawings and funny scribbles. I have doodled houses, people, funny situations, memorable places, pets and animals. I was always the person in the family who would be asked to create the birthday cards or prints and eventually realised that I could producing them for other people too.
All my characters originate from how I imagine the particular animal would act in its animated world, how its eyes would flit or what silly thing it could be doing. First of all I create pen sketches, with black ink and then bring them to life colour. My style is fun and simple, mixing illustration with contemporary colours and typography.
I also specialise in house portraits and their success comes down to the fine detail such as including a door name or number or by having a pet looking out a window. I can even include the whole family standing outside the house if you wish. These prints make truly lovely gifts, ideal for a birthday. I can illustrate any building that may be personal to you such as a garden shed, a memorable building or a particular cafe. You name it and I will be happy to draw it.
Every design I produce is printed onto white heavy quality archival paper which helps to maintain the colour over the years.
Each print is a glicee print which means it has been printed to look exactly like a screen print and gives a true representation of the original. Each one is stamped and signed as a one off then gift wrapped in pretty tissue paper and posted out in a sturdy envelope.
I can also produce one off designs if you have a particular idea, so please get in touch if you have any questions.
A bit about me, I had great fun at Art college and then went on to work at design agencies in London for 20 years!
I am a busy mum of two teenagers now so creating prints for other people is something enjoyable to do for myself.
All illustrations start out as pen and ink drawings.
Our prints are all produced on a Giclee printer which means that we are able to create an accurate representation of the original hand drawn print. I chose a glicee printer because they use pigment-based inks which retain vibrance and colour over the years, they do not fade like inks on an ink jet printer. I am able to reproduce my hand drawn illustrations onto heavy weight archival paper with digital typography and still keep them looking as good as my original hand drawn design.
