Made in Scotland, LucyWagtail brings the perfect combination of substance and style to the world of soft furnishings.

Creative and innovative, Lucy Wagtail aims to bring sustainability and unique style to the world of soft furnishings. We use a variety of fabrics and techniques, including Harris Tweed®, 100% wool, cotton, velvet, hessian and more. We also design unique fabrics in-house, making these exclusive to our customers.

Designing and manufacturing since 2014 when Irene decided to merge her passion for crafting with business, Lucy Wagtail has remained a family affair, with the brand being named after Irene's beloved Cocker Spaniel, Lucy and Irene's daughter, Ashleigh joining the business in 2020. The business is continuing to grow with Lindi joining at the end of 2021 to look after marketing and business development.

Our small team has recently moved to a larger workshop with a fantastic retail shop area attached. As the Lucy Wagtail brand continues to grow, we are always looking for ways to make our products not only stylish but sustainable.

Delivery

Orders are generally ready for dispatch within 7 working days. Please allow extra time around busy periods such as Christmas.

Orders are dispatched by 2nd Royal Mail. Larger parcels may also be sent using our partner courier or Parcelforce. The delivery of parcels is tracked and parcels may require a signature on delivery.

In accordance with estimated transit times quoted by Royal Mail, 2nd class parcels transit in 2-3 working days and 1st class the following working day. Please select the correct shipping option when placing your order.

International parcels are sent through our partner courier, DHL.

We try to minimise the use of plastics in our shipping and most of the materials we use can be re-used or recycled, on occasion we may use plastic bubble wrap for void packing, this is usually material that we have received in packaging received in our own deliveries and are re-using. We avoid introducing new plastics into our packaging.

We aim to keep our product information as up-to-date and as accurate as possible. Please keep in mind that these are subject to change. Some of our products require our customer to select size, colour or style variations. We try our best to ensure that the colours and fabric designs on our listings are displayed as accurately as possible. However, display on individual monitors or screens may show colours differently and we encourage our customers to request a free fabric sample, to ensure it meets their expectations.

Pattern Placement: As each product is individually handmade to order, the exact positioning of the fabric pattern may differ from the photograph on our website and from item to item.

Positioning of logo and branding: Positioning of brand labels (where applicable) can be chosen by the customer, this choice can be made via the drop down list on applicable listings. Our Lucy Wagtail brand tag will always be attached to the item.

We cannot confirm the availability of the options selected within the product description (i.e. different lampshade or cushion types/sizes) until the order has been placed – if we cannot fulfil the order or if your order incurs a delay we will notify you by email or phone. In the instance of a cancelled order, a full refund will be given.

Lucy Wagtail reserves the right to remove or edit products from this platform at any given time.

The PVC linings used to make Lucy Wagtail lampshades have been tested for fire resistance to comply with BS EN 60598-1-2008, the British Standard for Luminaries. Our PVC material has been tested in the Lighting Association Laboratories and has passed the glow wire test. Fabrics, Textiles, or Paper that are laminated to our PVC will become fire resistant.

We also have an eco-friendly board option for our hard bodied lampshades. Any fabrics adhered to this will be sprayed to ensure fire safety and as recommended by Trading Standards. 100% wool fabrics such as Harris Tweed and Abraham Moon fabrics and inherently fire resistant.

We advise using modern LED lightbulbs with all of our products, this reduces energy used and heat generated inside your lampshade.
