Trying to make a living out of playing with mud

I’m Lyn and I live in the Scottish Borders with my partner, son and a troublesome rescue pup who has taken a liking to eating from my clay bucket.

I started quite late with ceramics after wanting to spend more time with my family than my job would allow. The ability to dance and sing on my own to 80’s ballads throughout the day was also a factoring issue. The possibilities are endless with clay so you’ll find my work varies over time as I learn new styles and tricks. I’m self taught and have a real love for unique, handmade and fully functional pieces that fit into all homes. Many of my pieces are inspired by the coast and marine life and when I'm not making you'll find me at my nearest beach.
