I'm Clare, 43 years old, a creative human, lover of making and designing, mother of twins, wife to cycling enthusiast and a bike shed stealer (I'll explain).

With a love of creating products, designing and bringing to life beautiful ideas, Made by Clare was born in 2022. This is my second business child, after Bespoke & Oak. I've been designing and creating products since 2012, the handwritten crackers specifically since 2017. When I sold Bespoke & Oak, a laser engraving business, earlier this year, I kept the crackers for myself - and Made By Clare.

The handwritten side of the business is very much the starting, and focal point that I am working on for now - with lots of new ideas brewing, I'm truly looking forward to setting up this new venture.

Personalised Crackers tend to take over my life for 3 or 4 months of the year, my children are familiar with me spending days and nights, writing and packing, making and mailing thousands of crackers each year. They enjoy sampling the chocolate and approving the jokes.

Downsizing my business has meant a welcome move home, to work out of my garden office (previously my husbands bike shed!) - he's a good 'un!
