About

Made In Words is a small business based in the West of Scotland which specialises in personalised artworks and gifts.

At Made In Words, we offer a range of contemporary, handmade framed pieces and keepsakes using mixed media materials and found papers in a creative and sustainable way - we specialise in gifts using your own words for anniversaries, weddings and births and all the special moments inbetween.

Made In Words began as re:made in 2009 shortly after I moved with my family to the West of Scotland. Having trained in Textiles and Fine Art, I taught for ten years in various Art Colleges in the UK while continuing my own fine art practice and I saw this move as an opportunity to concentrate on doing what I love best; making lovely objects out of beautiful materials.

The essence of Made In Words is in the making - it is very important to us that each product is hand finished to the highest possible standard. I hope that you will find something here that you can treasure or take pleasure in giving to a loved one.

Delivery

We try to get all standard orders out within 2-5 days of receiving them, we post by Royal Mail first class for UK orders (approximately 1- 2 working days delivery) and Royal Mail Airmail for international orders (please allow up to 10 working days for delivery). If it isn't going to be possible to send your order in this time, we will contact you straight away to tell you when the delivery date will be.

Express orders are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery but please note that we are not always able to offer this service, please get in touch if you can't see this option and your order is urgent and we will do our best to get your order made and sent quickly.
