Aluminium Dc3 Plane

The Douglas DC-3 plane was instrumental in popularising air travel in the United States. With only three refueling stops, eastbound transcontinental flights crossing the U.S. in approximately 15 hours became possible and with its sleeping berths, this could be achieved in some style and comfort.

Our model is an incredible replica of the legendary workhorse of the skies from the 1930-50s, although some are still flying today in Amazon and the Gobi Desert. This hand-built model is clad in aluminium, complete with etched metal sheets and rivets. Extremely detailed with propellers and landing gear, it is a fabulous model to behold and will make a great accessory to any interior.

The plane can be mounted on the metal plinth supplied or can stand resplendent on its own wheels.

The wings are packed separately for transit and require minor assembly.
