Our Synthetic White Opal stones are lab-created to display an array of colours as light strikes. White Opal is otherwise known as Milky Opal and has a white appearance with bright flashes of opal colour across the stone when introduced to light.

Opals are porous stones, please make sure you keep your opals clear of water and strong sunlight to ensure they stay mesmerising. Failure to do so can cause your opal to change colour and become dull.

Opal is known as a 'Stone of Hope'. Due to its rich rainbow array of colours, it is believed to bring good luck and good fortune to those who wear it, as the rainbow array of colours in opal bestow all the positive properties of coloured gemstones.

• Remove your jewellery when you exercise, swim or engage with harmful products to prevent them from dulling.

• Remove your jewellery when you exercise or perform manual work to prevent damaging your jewellery.

• Avoid your jewellery coming into direct contact with perfume or hairspray to prevent them from dulling.

• Store your jewellery in a secure box, ideally your NAKEDPALM box, out of direct sunlight when your jewellery is not being worn to prevent them from dulling.

• If you’re needing to store your jewellery for a long period of time, store them in your NAKEDPALM box sealed with cling film for an airtight effect to prevent them from dulling.

• Should your jewellery ever look dull due to wearing them often, fear not, they can be spruced up with one of our magical polishing cloths.

• Should the gemstones in your jewellery lose their lustre and don’t catch and refract the light as they once did, we recommend using a very soft bristle toothbrush and carefully clean around and underneath the gemstone with water.

White Opal and 14K Gold Vermeil.

Sterling silver is very durable and has an identity stamp of 925 on their jewellery pieces, as it is an alloy consisting of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. So across our sterling silver and gold vermeil pieces you will see 925 stamped into the jewellery authenticating it’s properties. You will also see this stamp on our Gold Vermeil pieces as initially they are Sterling Silver pieces that are plated with 2.5 microns (very thick and durable) of 14K gold.

Overtime, naturally sterling silver will oxidise with surrounding elements and begin to look tarnished, this is where it will appear slightly duller and darker and will have lost its sparkle. However, this is easily rectified with sterling silver and gold vermeil as all it takes is a polishing/ care cloth and a gentle magic rub!

You will begin to see the tarnish on the jewellery transfer onto the cloth and the sparkle will return ✨.

Gold vermeil items have sterling silver as a base metal, they are then heavily plated in 2.5 microns of gold, in our case 14K. The 14K in gold vermeil refers to the gold content that lies in the plating... as we use 14K this means more than half of our plating is gold content. We have specifically chosen 14K gold vermeil for our jewellery as the colour of the gold hue is exactly what we are after!

Similarly to sterling silver items, gold vermeil will also oxidise overtime from contact with the air, this is easily rectified by gently using a polishing cloth to restore its sparkle and shine. Please note Gold Vermeil items only need a gentle rub, continuous harsh rubbing can cause the plating to wear away.
