Hey, I’m Kirsty – the creative mind behind Pack n Play Trays.
I was lucky to grow up with parents who worked tirelessly to give me and my siblings a magical, memory-filled childhood. They showed me the value of hard work and resilience, and ever since, I’ve dreamt of building something of my own. Like many small business owners, the hardest part was figuring out what that “something” would be.
I’m a naturally creative person, and my first venture was designing and baking wedding cakes. While it brought success, it never quite felt like the thing. That clarity came after becoming a parent myself.
I’ve always loved imaginative play – I grew up making mud pies and petal soups (who didn’t?), and now I see that same spark in my two boys. But after enough moments of them raiding the kitchen cupboards and splashing around in my expensive toiletries, I realised parents needed an easier way to support this kind of play.
During lockdown, I began putting together sensory trays as a way to keep the boys entertained and engaged. That’s how Pack n Play Trays was born.
What started as simple messy play evolved into magical potion kits – and that’s when I knew I’d found “The Idea.” Now, we're a thriving little brand with a big heart, built on creativity, childhood joy, and a desire to make life a little easier (and more magical) for parents like me.

Inspiring Creativity One Potion at a Time
At Pack n Play Trays, we create magical potion kits designed to spark joy, creativity, and connection. Handmade in small batches in our UK studio, our child-safe ingredients fizz, foam, and surprise with every use. Tested by our in-house experts (my two boys!), our kits are fun for kids and easy for parents — no kitchen raids or costly bath products needed.
From kitchen table beginnings, we’ve grown into an award-winning small business with a loyal community of imaginative families. Our small but mighty team of “potion pixies” brings a little magic to homes across the UK. Proud winners of Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday, we’re excited to be featured on Not On The High Street while staying true to our handmade, playful roots.

Our potion kits are designed for children to promote imaginative play and creativity, so we do not include instructions or potion recipes.
*Please note that the colour of some kit components may vary and may not always be the same as shown in the images. All glass bottles and bowls seen in the images are for illustration purposes only and will not be included in the kits.
Testing
All our potion kits have been tested and are UKCA certified.
Advice & Recommendations
Please keep ingredients in a cool dry area to prolong the lifespan of your potion kits.
Please note that some ingredients may stain so please bear this in mind when mixing and making your potions in bowls and on surfaces.
Due to the ingredients' non-toxic nature, all potions can be disposed of discreetly.
Safety & Warnings
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times while playing with their potion kits.
These kits are recommended for children 3+, kits can contain small parts which may be a choking hazard for children under the age of 3. Please always take care around small children and note these kits are not suitable for under 36 months.
All ingredients are non-edible and are NOT for consumption.
Please dispose of all packaging safely and correctly and clean all equipment after use.
Avoid contact with eyes. Wear protective goggles.
Skin Irritation & Allergies
Although care is taken when creating all our kits they are made in an environment that may contain nuts (including peanuts), soya, sesame and gluten. - All ingredients are non edible and should NOT be consumed.
Ingredients contain salts that may sting cuts and dry out little fingers and citric acid may irritate the skin. Wash hands with water and avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, immediately rinse with cool running water. Please see individual items for ingredients listings. Please contact us for any queries or clarification.
