Create 4 beautiful, eco-friendly spiky baubles with our DIY kit, inspired by traditional Polish design.
These decorations are deeply rooted in Polish history and they are called jeżyki, which means hedgehogs.
Jeżyki were a favourite Christmas decoration during communism, when Polish people lacked some materials that now we have in abundance. Yet, nothing stopped them from using what they had in their homes to make colourful ornaments. Papers, magazines were used to create the decorations. Today, you can still use them, but the most popular material is good quality tissue paper. Let’s make them!
What’s inside of your kit?
- 2 layers of tissue paper
