Picaloulou

We launched Picaloulou three years ago when we couldn't find any stylish, natural knitwear for our own two children to wear. We noticed that everything was being manufactured abroad and most of it contained man-made fibres. So we set about designing a capsule range of hand-knit styles for children aged 0-10y using soft British farmed wools dyed with Soil Association approved dyes. We work with a small team of talented knitters who knit from home and are proud to be supporting British woollen mills and keeping the craft of hand-knitting alive!

Since our early beginnings we have also developed a small range of machine knit styles and are working with some fantastic British factories who are very supportive of British-made ethos. We don't believe in throwaway fashion and our knitwear is all designed and made using 100% natural yarns including: Merino, Cotton, Cashmere, Alpaca, Corriedale and Bowmont breeds. We choose beautiful natural colours for our collection, only design a small range each Autumn/Winter and sell direct to our customers, which means we can offer you excellent customer service.

We aim to produce beautiful, high quality, knitted items for children that are soft, warm and wearable. Inspired by our Cornish surroundings, our relaxed styles are made to last so that they can be passed down to friends and family members for others to enjoy.
