The internet's only shop ran by a pig and a bear! Well, almost!
Formed during the Coronavirus lockdown in May 2020, Pig and Bear Emporium was created to bring some bold, vibrant colour and joy to the walls of little peoples’ bedrooms, nurseries, playrooms and classrooms.
One of us has a graphic design background and so we have always created art for our friends that kept having many babies, and we needed a way of celebrating the birth of their little ones, without breaking the bank!
Whilst the lockdown (part 1...) was difficult for everyone, it did provide us with the time to launch a little online store. We started adding to the collection and were able to purchase a large format printer (called the Oinkerator - which took a lot of persuading for a very cautious person like Scott!)
Thankfully, everything went better than we had ever hoped for and as we looked at what was out there, we found lots of children’s art shared similar basic themes with washed-out colours and duplicated designs. We wanted to do something a little bold and different, to share with you lovely people!
Something we get asked about a lot, is where the name came from and it's actually not the most interesting story but it is simple - it's our silly names that we have for each other! Pig and Bear is truly personal and we hope that you enjoy our products as much as we do in creating them!
Love Scott (Pig) and Robbie (Bear)
From our home to yours
When ordering from us, you are supporting a small Manchester business and gaining the quality, care and attention that comes with that; from a 12 colour print process to give the richest colours and the deepest blacks, to the hand-finish of every single print, you can be sure every piece is produced to the highest possible standard!
We use 12 specialist resin-coated pigment inks to deliver prints of outstanding durability and quality, colour gamut, lightfastness and water-resistance. Far superior to that of most commercial and professional printers.
We print on a professional fine-art card with a finely textured surface guaranteeing extraordinary print results with impressive colour reproduction, unlike budget papers that quickly fade and lose their vibrancy.
All our art prints are carefully trimmed to their final size by hand, with each one given the love, care and attention it deserves before being packaged in sustainable, recyclable packaging ready for dispatch.
We dispatch all orders via Royal Mail 2nd Class, except for framed prints, which are sent via courier, or where a delivery upgrade has been purchased.
Whilst we dispatch all orders within the relevant timeframe, once the item hits the delivery network, we can't be held responsible for any delays or customs charges that may result.
