About Piwi's Crafts

Embroidery and crafts inspired by nature and the outdoors.

I’m Pete and started designing my own embroidery patterns after struggling to find designs I wanted to stitch. A few friends and family wanted to try my designs too, so I started Piwi’s Crafts!

Much of my inspiration comes from nature and the outdoors, and I love creating colourful fabric designs to complement the stitching pattern. I also partner with artists such as watercolourist Linda Beverley, adding thread to her beautiful paintings.

I’ve tried to source the best quality fabric, hoop, needles and thread for the kits to ensure your embroidery looks its best! The Elbesee hoop and John James needles are made in the UK, with all printed products fully recyclable – printed using vegetable based inks on FSC certified sustainable sources.

embroidery for mindfulness

A light, relaxed focus.

I've found embroidery great for mindfulness - it allows the mind to lightly focus in relaxation while keeping busy enough to keep from instrusive thoughts and stressors of the day. Who says you need to be still to be mindful? I find it super relaxing hearing the sound of the thread moving through fabric, the dim pop of the fabric being pulled taut...

Some of the kits have been designed specifically for mindfulness, including the designs in collaboration with watercolour artist Linda Beverley. These kits allow you to add as much texture and colour as you want, while Linda's artwork supports the work in the background.

Each kit also contains a peppermint teabag to help your embroidery relaxation!
