We have partnered with a wonderful organisation in Malawi that nurtures local artisanal talent to produce an array of contemporary designs. Resourceful with local materials, they collect empty wine bottles from restaurants, cut them to size and hand-carve exquisite mahogany lids, each solid and with a unique wood grain.
Ideal in the kitchen, bathroom or just as striking display pieces, they are a great addition to any room.
The organisation supports artisans to build sustainable businesses lending interest free loans to enable them to invest in equipment & materials to grow their enterprises. This ensures age-old techniques survive for future generations.
Please note each jar is sold individually and the lids are not air tight. There are three lid designs (B, C and F) and two glass colours (Clear & Green) to choose from. See image 5 for details.
