Each tray takes 5 days to weave using locally grown ugwafu grass and the white threads of upcycled 'gunia' grain sacks which creates a robust and sturdy base.

Our artisan partner WomenCraft's mission is to support women refugees to become entrepreneurs by using natural materials that grow around them to create income and business skills for independence.

Thus every tray carries with it the unique personal touch of its maker.
