rawstudio designs and produces furniture, lighting and home accessories, inspired by England’s manufacturing heritage.

We work hard to create products that are simple, beautiful and practical, yet never boring! Through novel use of materials, innovative design elements or small touches of luxury, we hope that our designs stand out and turn into favourite, much loved objects in your home, office or garden.

Supporting our local economy is important to us, whenever possible we use UK material suppliers and manufacturers. We also minimise the environmental impact of our production processes and use high quality materials to create long lasting products.

Based between London and the Lancashire shed workshop, rawstudio has a small team who design, build and sell it’s products. It was started by Nick Rawcliffe in 2004 after finishing his studies at the Royal College of Art, London and the Bauhaus, Germany - rawstudio is his life-long project to create products that mean something.

Our products have been shown in Milan, Moscow, London and New York and exhibited at several shows including The Design Festival, Chelsea Flower Show and in the V&A.

rawstudio's Chess Set won the Not on The High Street ‘Future Star Product' in 2014 and was shortlisted again for the Make Awards 2015 for our wall hanging 'Cloud' Lighting.
