Re-Creation for the Nation is a brand that has evolved from the desire to create unique, affordable and one-off products. Every product has been carefully handmade with an eco-design aesthetic. From design ideas through to packaging, careful considerations and sustainable choices have been made.

Melissa Kidd is the designer remaker behind the brand. Ever since she can remember, sewing has always been her passion. Her earliest creations were hand sewn clothes for her dolls. Her earliest ‘pop up shop’ was a little stall she set up outside her house trying to sell handmade goods, when she was eleven.

Years down the line, after completing a fashion degree, (and nominated as FHM Menswear Young Designer 2001), she embarked upon a teaching career in fashion and textiles for almost 10 years. More recent success includes her appearances on TV's 'Crafty Beggars In The House' where she was invited to show her various upcycled ideas.
