Each dog decoration is hand cut from cotton mix fabrics before attaching to a piece of felted fabric.
Once all the cut pieces are attached they are placed on top of the backing fabric with a piece of stiffening fabric between. Please note this is not a padded decoration.
A loop of waxed cord is slipped in between before I embroider the decoration using the free motion technique on my sewing machine. This means every decoration will not be identical.
Once all the lines and features are sewn I cut the decoration out.
The design is single sided, the reverse side is a plain white felted fabric. (The decorations aren't double sided as this would be difficult and time consuming as the stitching goes through from front to back making lining up the edges and pattern details difficult.
The stitching is visible on the reverse side.
Care Instructions: The process of stitching and raw edged fabric means the decorations will fraw along the edge a little until the fabric finally wears to the stitched edge. Like many pooches a little groom maybe required over time, a little trim/hair cut with sharp scissors will resolve this.
Each decoration measures approximately 10 cm wide (widest Point) but varies depending on the breed shape.
