The form of the koala is so precious, their fur gives them a roundness that is captured perfectly in this necklace. The plump body is polished to a high shine, allowing it to sparkle and catch the light, whilst its large ears are textured to show the long fur that they have here.

Koalas are endemic to Australia, living in eucalyptus woods, and sleep up to twenty hours a day. Often depicted hugging trees, they may be doing this in order to cool down from the Australian heat – using the tree as a heat sink. The pendant makes the perfect gift for a koala lover, or perhaps someone who reminds you of a sleepy koala!

The design is carved by hand and cast sustainably in recycled sterling silver, hanging on a fine 18 inch chain.
