My designs are heavily based on a narrative inspired by songs (Greek/African), my multi-cultural background, books, people I’ve met, and a fair bit of getting lost in nature and spiritual. I work on an idea in my head first, spending time researching symbols or reading- all prep that I would later include in my print, sketch it to size working out each element of my design so as to convey a certain story or feeling before finally committing it to block and cutting it. I like to work on block, screen printing, a bit of pen & ink with watercolours as well as include digital art-work in my limited pieces.

While I print, I tend to meditate and always find myself with a silent prayer on my lip, thinking of the person I’m making the print for and often singing. I love Printing, it is very therapeutic- mixing the inks, preparing the paper, pulling over my apron and the smell of freshly pulled prints-little rituals that I thoroughly enjoy (except on humid days when my studio is too hot or cold to print!).

When I’m not working on prints, I work full-time in publishing as a graphic designer designing covers, Illustrations, photography and commissioning art-work, for Fashion, Children's, Lifestyle to Academic Books. I am a University of the Arts + Norwich School of Art & Design graduate. Born and bred Kenyan, working in London and dreaming of a retirement in Zanzibar.

I love to make people happy with my prints and also hope to raise a fair bit for the little charities that get forgotten. My studio is in Tottenham and I’m always happy to have visitors.
