A Scottish love story....
We fell in love with Harris Tweed® on a trip to the Outer Hebrides in 2019. Meeting the weavers and the team at the Mill really helped us gain a real appreciation for the hand woven fabric. The Islanders are the only people in the world that are allowed to weave the fabric, spin and dye the yarn which becomes the famous Harris Tweed® we know and love. We purchased some fabric on the trip from a local weaver and this is where the true love story begins.
We decided to make Harris Tweed® as the centre of our brand as we love the story behind it. The textures, the colours that reflect the landscape and the history of the fabric.
More recently we decided to create Harris Tweed® face masks. If we have to wear masks these days, why not wear something that you can be proud of with a fabric that been handwoven the same way for hundreds of years.
We've kept in contact with the local weaver in Lewis and the Mill where we source all our fabrics. Our weaver lives in a croft in a small village in Lewis. When he isn't tending to his sheep he is weaving Harris Tweed® tweed in his croft.
We are really proud to be supporting Scottish industry and jobs in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland and such an amazing home grown product.
