About Us

Enjoy these award-winning, pure honeys in the knowledge you are helping the bee population to thrive.

The Scottish Bee Company was founded by Iain and Suzie Millar in 2017. They felt strongly about the UK's declining bees population and decided to do something to help. Their passion and determination prompted them to adopt some bees, hire a team of expert bee farmers and brought them together in the heather covered hills of Scotland to produce uniquely flavourful honeys that evoke a sense of Scotland's unspoiled wilderness.

Today, The Scottish Bee Company have over 500 hives equating to around 30 million bees at the height of summer! Suzie and Iain also started a sister charity RePollinate that aims to protect all types of pollinators through wildflowers spaces and education programmes. 10p from every jar of honey purchased is donated to

Suzie and Iain were delighted to win the top platinum award at the London International Honey Awards, and to achieve the first BSI Kitemark for food assurance - testimony to the provenance they hold so dear.

Our Achievements

We are an award-winning honey company dedicated to increasing bee population in the UK.

Here at the Scottish Bee Company we work really hard to make sure our gifts, honeys and candles are good for the environment, good for you and helping both the bees and bee farmers. Our heather honey is the first ever food product to gain the BSI Kitemark for food assurance, this confirms our commitment to provenance, purity, social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

Our honey has received attention in the media due to the newly discovered, unique healing benefits of our heather honey. It also tastes delicious as our Great Taste award proves! And very excitingly, our honey has received the top award for quality and packaging at the London Honey Awards.

Protecting the bees and looking after the environment is at the heart of everything we do. Which is why we are dedicated to producing environmentally friendly and socially responsible products; using fully recyclable packaging and donating a percentage of our profits to our sister charity, Re-Pollinate.
