Hi, I'm Clara!

After graduating with a degree in Fashion Design at the University of Westminster and went on to work for a handful of Fashion brands as a designer, I became tired with how quickly clothing became dispensable and how unethical the entire cycle was. My passion for being in the industry was disappearing each day I worked, it didn’t feel good to be contributing to such an old-fashioned system and so Six Acre Meadow was created in 2008. It ended up becoming my long term hobby up until 2019 when I decided to leave full-time employment and work entirely on what I loved and related to the most.

One of the products I had been making for friends and family were little drawstring pouches crafted from fabric remnants to help compartmentalize the items in their handbags and around the home but mostly as an alternative to disposable packaging such as wrapping paper. These later evolved to designs for occasions and personalised pouches in a variety of sizes.
