Our story
Our mission is to connect the best of Scottish suppliers to the rest of the world, one sprEHd at a time.
We are an Edinburgh based start-up business, established in January 2020 by a Scottish food-obsessed, passionate business graduate. We source the best Scottish products locally, regionally, and nationally to create delicatessen boxes and hampers and ensure a genuine taste of Scotland in every sprEHd. Growing throughout the global pandemic from a home kitchen in early 2020 to our first business unit six months later, we are incredibly grateful to have taken a positive story from a time of which was so difficult for many.
A special Scottish “tapadh leat” (thank you!) to our amazing suppliers and cherished customers… every delivery, every order, every visit to our shop has made a huge difference to the sprEHd journey and helped us realise our dream of providing the finest food to the finest people… from Scotland, to beyond. We are what you make us and we smile just as that picture above for every order we receive!
Our Sourcing

At sprEHd we believe that local matters. All our products are sourced from the best local suppliers. From our cheese to marshmallows, every product within our boxes are made by local suppliers who put their heart and soul into providing the best quality ingredients, in turn making our boxes that little bit more special!
When it comes to food and drink, Scotland has an abundance of national treasures and we want to pack as many of them into our amazing boxes as possible. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure sprEHd is always evolving and allowing our customers the opportunity to try new products.
We are proud to have created a network of local suppliers and consumers and strive to continue to connect these markets and champion Scottish produce, as it deserves.
Our Products
Delivery
Once your product is packed, personalised and packaged we will ship via next day delivery courier service, tracking information can be provided. Orders placed before 13:00 GMT Monday to Thursday, will go out the same working day and orders placed after 13:00 GMT will be shipped the following working day. Orders placed from 13:00 GMT Thursday to Monday 13:00 GMT (excluding bank holidays) will be shipped on the Monday, for next day delivery.
If you’re ordering in advance and would like your order to arrive on a specific day, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate this.
Cheese gifts and fresh food hampers must be signed for upon delivery. Please ensure that your recipient will be available to receive the goods on the chosen delivery date. All fresh food needs to be opened and refrigerated within 48 hours of despatch to ensure that the contents remain safe to consume.
Our courier will notify us of any issues with delivery and we will act accordingly. Our courier is instructed to leave deliveries in a safe place or with an immediate neighbour, details of this will be provided to the intended recipient.
Christmas - during the festive period, please be aware of delivery time effects due to the volume in the network and order cut off times. Please contact us direct for further information on this.
