Welcome to Stabo; we are a designer/maker partnership. Ros started making blouses to sell at Portobello Market in 2001 and Ed joined shortly afterwards. Since then we have had numerous adventures with Stabo travelling from New Zealand to Norfolk and many places in between. Now we are firmly ensconced in Cambridgeshire working from home surrounded by our family.
Our focus is on accessories and clothing but we're always trying to push the boundaries, develop new ideas and experiment with different techniques and materials. The two main areas we work in are screen printing and leather sometimes together.
With screen printing we love combining colours and developing strong, striking images which we will tweak and tweak until they are just right.
Our range of leather products is constantly evolving we cut, sew, print, engrave and use many other techniques all here in our Cambridgeshire studio. All of our leather products are 100% British made.

Our work has the imperfections and charm of the handmade. Stabo products are made with care and individuality rather than the slightly bland uniformity of a production line which sets us apart.
We screen print using wooden screens we’ve made ourselves and have an eccentric, ever growing collection of tools and machines all of which have their roles in our designs. Anything not made by us is made in the UK apart from the T shirts which are made abroad but screen printed or decorated in house. We also take great care in the sourcing of our materials as we know how important quality is which is why we use leather, pure wool and cotton.
The benchmark for us is developing products we love and want to use ourselves.
We are a small team of designer/makers we check our orders on a daily basis and try to send all items out as quickly as possible. Express orders are processed on a daily basis. Other orders are processed on Monday, Wednesday or Friday but as everything is made here if we are out of stock it may take a few days more before it goes out. At peak times such as mid November to Christmas over 90% of orders go out within 24 hours of being placed (Friday and weekend orders go out on Monday).
If we have an issue with an order we will try to get in contact with you as soon as possible so please if you receive a message from Notonthehighstreet.com check and see what it says in case it's a query about your order.
Items go out with Royal Mail so if they do not turn up in a reasonable period of time please get in touch.
During the holiday period things may take slightly longer due to the large number of bank holidays also it may not be possible for us to check on orders on a daily basis. If something is very urgent please call customer services and ask them to call us and we can provide an update.
International orders are sent out by Royal Mail once we have taken them to the Post Office we have no control over how long they will take to arrive even though they go out by Air Mail. Royal Mail advise that items can take up to 4 weeks to arrive so we will not be able to refund a lost international order until this time period has elapsed. Many issues can arise with items going around the globe including customs hold ups and even European items can get horribly delayed.
