A beautifully sentimental keepsake to help a grieving friend, it catches the light wonderfully and so would look stunning in a window as a memory token. This oak leaf, hand engraved by artist Jessica Bartlett in her Bristol studio is a unique piece. Oak leaves are one of the most distinctive easily to recognise leaves and a joy to engrave. In folklore the oak tree represents strength and wisdom and the English Oak is the national tree of England. This ornament can be given as a meaningful gift as a memorial to someone that has past, to let the grieving friend know you are thinking of them. When hung up the oak leaf can be a gentle reminder of that person and offer a moment of reflection or meditation.
The illustration of the oak leaf is engraved using a drill on to clear cglass. The edge of the glass panel is framed in copper foil and solder and can be hung from the fixed ring or the blue satin ribbon.
This decoration will be wrapped in blue tissue paper, a gift note can be added if going directly to the recipiant. I used letterbox friendly packaging to deliver these items.
Each piece is hand made and so will vary.
