Fairy Style Christmas Decoration 'Lizzibeth'

This spun cotton ornament is inspired by a vintage technique for making Christmas decorations which were produced in Germany around the turn of the century in 1900. When I bought one from an early morning visit to Sunbury Antiques fair I was so inspired that I just had to have a go and make them for myself.

Individually hand made and by me in my garden studio. I adore the making and designing process and carry this out with love and attention to detail.

"lIzzibeth" is a hanging decoration designed for the Christmas tree but but she can also be placed in any manner you wish.

She is bendable so you can carefully re-position her arms and legs.

Each individual piece combine materials such as recycled vintage lace, paper ephemera, decorative objects, natural cotton roving, paint, glitter and any other trinkets that suit.
