Established in 2018 in Birmingham, we at The Prancing Hare are a husband-and-wife team with a shared passion for ethical fashion. Our mission is to provide you with sustainable handmade clothing that you can treasure for a long time.

We have always been an eco-conscious family: growing food at our allotment, avid flea-market goers loving a challenging upcycling project. Creating garments from locally grown European linen has been very rewarding as it allowed us to do what we love (making beautiful and cozy garments) and offering eco-friendly solutions for your homes, kitchens, and wardrobes.

The Prancing Hare has four main departments: Kitchen, Home, Loungewear and Clothing.

Linen pinafore aprons are our Kitchen range superstars - initially created as a gift for Irene’s mother (who is an artist), these crossover aprons have been conquering the world, one kitchen/artist studio at a time - these aprons are very addictive!

Our Home range offers pure linen bedding, tablecloths, and placemats - linen is the perfect fabric for these, as natural creases only add to a regal look of the pieces, and unlike the other fabrics, linen benefits from washing and wear.
