About our team

Colourful, eco friendly delicate sustainable jewellery made from upcycled and repurposed tins, aluminium, brass and silver, designed and made in the UK

The Tinsmiths have been creating beautiful jewellery by the sea in North Wales for over 10 years. Each piece is thoughtfully imagined and designed with sustainability in mind.

Our skilled artisans make everything by hand in our North Wales workshop. Discarded materials and everyday objects are our resources. These are carefully worked and combined with new materials from sustainable sources and are re-purposed to give them a second life.

UK sourced Sterling Silver chains and findings are used for our jewellery.

How it is made

Designed and hand made to order in the UK

When you place your order from us it is given to one of our jewellery makers who will use a punch and die to carefully cut the heart from the tin. The piece is carefully sanded with a fine textured emery block and a small drill is used to make the hole for the jump ring. The piece is then assembled adding the sterling silver chain and any personalised element that is needed to complete the necklace.

Everyone is feeling anxious about Coronavirus so it is really important that we all come together and look out for each other. The health and safety of our customers, employees and community are of paramount importance to us.

Our small team making jewellery have implemented robust measures for everyone's protection. Hand washing on arrival, before and after each process, before and after eating and frequent disinfection of workstations and communal areas.

Prior to packaging and despatch your jewellery will be treated with isopropyl alcohol.
