About Us

Wooden mechanical models in kit form

Timber kits is a small family firm in Mid-Wales. Working with natural wood and traditional processes, Timberkits has been designing unique products for 27 years.

Each model is a genuine construction challenge for keen model makers; a truly immersive activity with the added joy of seeing your creation move and come to life when you turn the handle at the end of your build.

The Timberkits range has variety of themes and ability levels, can be done as an individual project or as a team effort and is an ideal present for a creative friend or relative for any occasion.

Additional guidance

Ability ratings and safety

Our products are rated Beginner, Intermediate, Confident and Advanced for ability level guidance. These are great to do with children but they will need adult help, sometimes just to remind them to be patient in waiting for glue to dry. The Beginner models, for example are good for 9 year olds although younger children can get involved with support. Of course, all of them are great for adults of all ages and especially good for elderly friends and relatives who like to keep active and creative.

Please note that Timberkits provide spare parts free of charge if you lose any, make a mistake, Hoover them up or if they get chewed by the dog......

Please keep the kits away from children under 3 as they contain small parts that could be a choking hazard.
