This classic game originated from Africa and is considered to be the oldest board game in the world. It is so simpy to play and will be enjoyed by players of all ages, even as young as 3 years old for many years to come.
Our Mancala boards are constructed from a single solid piece of locally sourced English Oak and features twelve carved circular bowls and two collecting oval shaped dishes to each end and is silky smooth to the touch.
And like the rest of our board games we can personalise them to add that extra element to the board. These high quality personalised wooden Mancala boards are constructed completely by hand, to order in our Cheshire studio workshop.
If you are familiar with this particular board game, you will know there are many versiosn of how to play a game and also many alternitive names. Such as Ayò, Ayoayo, Awalé, Ouri, Ouril, Uril, Wali, Adji, Nchọ, Ókwè, ise and Awélé. The most common in English being Awari or Wari, but in the end it is simply Mancala.
Glass Gem Stones: 12mm roughly in diameter and come in either Pearl Black, Pearl White, Teal Green, Ruby Red and Lime Stone, all complete with a quality soft cotton drawstring bag.
