The gift tags are made from unbleached organic cotton backed with organic cotton crossweave fabric in a choice of colours and patterns. The tags are stitched with organic cotton thread and the ties are made from ombré dyed organic cotton braid.
The organic cotton fabric for our gift tags is carefully sourced with both the environment and worker welfare in mind. The fabric is supplied by the Organic Textile Company who ensure that it is fairly-traded as well as organic.
The organic cotton yarn for the crossweave tag backing is hand-dyed using low impact dyes, before being woven on small powerlooms. Crossweave fabric uses different coloured yarns for the warp and the weft, to create an effect that is subtle, complex and high quality.
As with any handwoven fabric, there may be small imperfections - although this very much adds to its charm.
In our efforts to be plastic free, we use recycled card packaging and eco-friendly paper tape. If a parcel needs padding we use fabric offcuts or recycle paper from parcels we have received.
